Average Joes Entertainment’s Colt Ford will embark on the inaugural leg of his 2012 Declaration of Independence Tour beginning April 6 in Albany, Ga., with help from labelmates The Lacs, JB and the Moonshine Band, Rehab and Lenny Cooper.
At ths writing, the 2012 tour is set to hit 20 cities before closing on June 9 in Belvin, Ark., but let's face it, Ford's so doggone popular with country-music lover these days, it'd be no surprise if the Declaration of Independance outing tagged a second leg on the books to meet fan demand.
For now, however, general admission tickets for the Georgia-born Ford's upcoming headlining tour go on sale beginning Feb. 15 via etix.com and the singer-songwriter's official website.
Per the pro golfer-turned-performer's record label, "family friendly zones" will be created at each venue stopover on the tour to ensure that all ages can enjoy the show.
“I have the most die-hard, rockin'-country music fans and they come in all ages,” said Ford, who penned Jason's Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem" hit. (To hear Ford's version of the track, click here.)
“When I look out in the crowds, I see people anywhere from 6 to 66 years old," he added. "(And) I really wanted to set up an all ages tour and create ‘family friendly’ zones to play for everyone that enjoys my music. This Declaration of Independence tour will offer just that … fun for the whole family and then some!”
Ford is currently in the studio preparing his fourth studio album, Declaration of Independence, that's slated for release in May. The disc is part of the Average Joes' “Ultimate Trilogy” package, which is billed as "the last piece of the puzzle to conclude the collective story threading throughout the releases of JB and the Moonshine Band's sophomore album, Beer For Breakfast, and The Lacs 190 Proof album," per the label's PR camp.
