The 13th Annual Tiburon International Film Festival takes place April 10-18, at Tiburon Playhouse Theater in Tiburon. Tiburon International Film Festival is a showcase of independent short and feature films by filmmakers from around the world. The 2014 Festival will present more than 50 Films from over 30 Countries on subjects ranging from humanity, politics, music to current events.
In this popular program, Tiburon International Film Festival viewers will be treated to Marin Filmmakers, a showcase for the Marin County filmmakers, with:
Healing a Soldier's Heart directed by Stephen Olsson [in person], which follows the courageous journeys of four Vietnam veterans, all suffering from severe PTSD, who return to Vietnam to finally face the demons that have been haunting them for almost forty years.
The Invisible Peak, directed by Gary Yost and George Daly [in person] about Mt. Tamalpais, which is considered sacred by many, Native and non-native alike. In 1950, the Army Corps of Engineers bulldozed the highest peak of the mountain to build an Air Force Station tasked with directing jet interceptors and short range Nike nuclear missiles against the potential threat of Russian nuclear bombers.
