Thursdays just haven’t been the same since “Grey’s Anatomy” wrapped up season 10. Season 11 seems so far away but ABC is teasing us with the first trailer for the new season. Wetpaint shared the video on June 24 and we are so thankful they did.

The trailer doesn’t hold any new clips because filming hasn’t begun yet but that doesn’t stop us from watching it over and over again. It’s packaged as the “TGIT (Thank God It's Thursdays) - Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How To Get Away With Murder” video. Believe us when we say it’s worth the watch.

ABC is repackaging Thursday nights as Shonda Rhimes night and rightly so. The creative lady is the genius behind “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal,” 2 of the shows already on the Thursday night lineup. They are adding Rhimes’ new series, “How to Get Away with Murder” to the lineup for a homerun evening of drama. The trailer features clips, shown in rapid fire succession, from all three shows.

The beginning of the video gives us a flashback to when Derek and Meredith first met in the series premiere. Oh how young they were! That show aired, the YouTube video tells us, on March 27, 2005. From there it slips into scenes from “Scandal” and the new series.

Then we get to see clips of Meredith and Derek interspersed throughout the remainder of the video trailer. All of the shots are happy and light-hearted, just the way we like our favorite couple.

Season 11 of the series is set to air in September, probably sometime in the latter half of the month if ABC keeps to its past habits. If you are looking for other “Grey’s Anatomy” news, we also learned that Caterina Scorsone has been made a series regular for the upcoming season. That means Derek’s little sister Amelia will be a bigger part of the show. We saw this coming. Did you?
