June 28, 2011 – The first full weekend of music at the Levitt Pavilion in Macarthur Park began Thursday June 23 with the performance of Mexican Pop artist Christopher Von Uckerman, who first saw the spotlight as part of the Pop group RBD.
Starting July 7 with the participation of Cuban pianist Iliana Rose, the concerts will continue from Thursday through Sunday without interruption until September 4. Those on the lineup include the Salsa band Ritmo Caliente, the Charanga group Orquesta Charangoa, the music fusion of Kotolan, the cumbia-rock sounds of La Santa Cecilia, and, closing the season, Quetzal and Conjunto Los Pochos. The concerts are free of charge. All concerts start at 7 pm with the exception of the children’s Sunday entertainment at 4 pm.
