For those who have dug themselves out of their snowy prisons by tomorrow night, here are some live music events to occupy your Thursday evening.

For Today headlines Wooly's in Des Moines tomorrow night.
First Fleet Concerts

Wooly's in Des Moines will host Sioux City metal band For Today at 5:30 p.m. The hardcore quintet is currently touring in support of their latest effort, Fight the Silence. The show will also feature performances from hard rock/metal bands Like Moths to Flames (Columbus, OH), Stray From The Path (Long Island, NY), The Plot in You (Findlay, OH), Fit For A King (Dallas, TX), Intentions (Des Moines/Colfax, IA), and Through The Darkness (Grand Junction, IA). Tickets for this all ages concert are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. They may be purchased at the Wooly's box office or online through Ticketfly.

Billy Dreamer will play Des Moines' Vaudeville Mews Thursday at 6 p.m. The Milwaukee-based punk trio released a new EP, entitled Problems, last September. Opening the show will be West Des Moines folk rockers Franklin's Basement and Des Moines garage rock/punk band Izzy Starchild and the Psychedelic Rose. This all ages show has a $5 cover.

DG's Tap House in Ames will host the Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank [see video] tomorrow night at 9 p.m. The Minnesota folk band released their latest album, Number One Contender, last year. The show has a $5 cover and is a 21-and-over event.

Finally, Gas Lamp in Des Moines will host an Open Jam Thursday night. Head down at 9 p.m. to join in with the house band, Scott Long and The Grease Fire Keys. You can bring your own instruments, use theirs, or just sit back and enjoy the music. The event is free to all over 21.
