2014 Cityview "Best Local Musician" winner Bonne Finken will play a CD release concert at the Temple Theater in Des Moines on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The pop/rock singer and songwriter will be celebrating her latest effort Fairytales/LoveAffairs, which has already found success on college radio stations, as well as Des Moines' KSTZ. Des Moines alt-rock/country band The Nadas will perform at the Jasper Winery in Des Moines Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The band released their latest album, entitled Lovejoy Revival, in February of last year. The concert is free and open to the public. Food and beverage will be available for purchase at the winery.
Michigan rock band Hour 24 (pictured) will bring their Hang 10 Tour to the House of Bricks in Des Moines tomorrow at 5 p.m. The band released their debut album "One Step at a Time" in April of last year. Opening for the female-fronted fivesome will be Suns, CC & the Juniors, and Misgivings Fall. The show is an all ages event and will have a $5 cover charge.
Minneapolis indie electronic pop sextet Enemy Planes will perform at DG's tap House in Ames Thursday night at 9 p.m. The band has a new album entitled Beta Lowdown due out later in the year. The show will be a 21+ affair with a $5 cover charge. Danger Ron & The Spins will open the show.
Finally, Des Moines Americana/roots band Brother Trucker will perform at Music in the Junction on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The weekly farmer's market/concert series in West Des Moines (5th Street and Railroad Avenue) is free and open to all ages. Food and beverage are available for purchase.
