An area of low pressure and cold front off to our west will continue to bring periods of rain this evening across central Ohio. Other than a spotty shower, we'll get a break tonight from the rain. Until this front and low pressure moves to our east, we are going to remain unsettled. Because of this, I am keeping showers and isolated thunderstorms in the forecast on Friday. The best chance for rain will be during Friday afternoon and into Friday night. The storm system we are dealing with has a lot of lift, so some of the rain will be heavy at times and I can't rule out an isolated strong storm with gusty winds and some small hail. Highs will top out in the mid-60s on Friday.
The cold front an area of low pressure finally kicks off to the east over the weekend. This will switch our winds to a northerly flow. Thus, cooler temperatures will move in for the weekend with highs back in the lower 50s. Chances for scattered showers will also remain in the forecast over the weekend before we dry out on Monday.
