Ahead of a strong cold front the heat and humidity continue for West Michigan. There is the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday and Wednesday night. The Storm Prediction Center has the Slight Risk for severe weather across part of West Michigan today. A few of the stronger storms could contain damaging wind and some very heavy rain.
Behind the disturbance, chilly air settles into the area for the end of the week and into the weekend. Scattered frost is possible for inland areas north of Grand Rapids Friday night .
