Ahead of a strong disturbance the heat and humidity will build into West Michigan.
There is the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms mainly Tuesday. The Storm Prediction Center has the Slight Risk for severe west of Michigan today and tonight but across much of the area for Tuesday. A few of the stronger storms could contain damaging wind and some very heavy rain.
Tuesday will likely be the warmest day of the week with temperatures in the low 90s. The bigger story is the humidity/dewpoints that will continue to increase making the air feel very uncomfortable. As the dewpoint temperatures climb into the upper 60s and low 70s the heat index readings will reach the mid and upper 90s for inland areas Tuesday afternoon.

Behind the disturbance, less humid air will settle into the Great Lakes for Wednesday.
