Thunderbirds force game three in CIS men's hockey action Sunday

According to www.godinos.com, the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds have forced a third and deciding game Sunday evening in Canada West men's hockey playoff action.

Saturday night at Max Bell Centre, Jesse Hilton and Brad Hoban each scored a goal and an assist as the Thunderbirds defeated the University of Calgary Dinos 4-2 to tie their Canada West men's hockey quarterfinal series 1-1.

Scott Wasden also had a multi-point game as he notched two assists.

The Thunderbirds and Dinos will move to Father David Bauer Arena this evening. The first two games of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport playoff series were played at the Max Bell Centre because Father David Bauer Arena was hosting the Winsport Invitational Figure Skating competition.

In other action, the University of Manitoba eliminated the University of Regina with a 5-0 win. The Bisons will next play the University of Saskatchewan in the semi-final next weekend.

The winner of the UBC Thunderbirds and University of Calgary Dinos game tonight will play the University of Alberta Golden Bears next weekend in Edmonton.
