Throw down at Sam’s Town 2 is going down tomorrow night

Las Vegas is gearing up for an exciting Friday night fight at the Sam’s Town Casino where Pochiro Boxing Promotions in association with Right Hook Promotions presents “Throw Down at Sam’s Town” featuring Jesus “Chuy” Gutierrez (11-0) against Moris Rodriguez (5-2-1). Both fighters stepped on the scale at today’s weigh-in at 140lbs. This is a very exciting match up, boxing fans are sure Chuy will continue to his undefeated streak and eventually take the top spot as a lightweight world champ.

The previously scheduled WBC-USNBC Championship Main Event with Rashad Ganaway (14-4) vs Victor Castro (11-0) fight “fell out for testing”, leaving Chuy and Moris in the Main Event spot tomorrow night. Throw Down at Sam’s Town starts at 7pm, tickets are $26.50. To avoid phone and internet service fees it would be best to purchase tickets at any Boyd Gaming Box office in person.

In the 6 round co-main event, Leon Spinks III (7-0-1)from St. Louis, MO weighed in at 136 and his opponent Wilberth Lopez (2-2) from Tucson, AZ weighed in at 136 ½. This is also expected to be another fight with great fighters to keep an eye on. The 4 round fight against Wes Capper (3-0) from Perth, Australia and RaShawn McCain (2-0)also from Tucson, AZ, Capper weighed in at 157 and McCain weighed in at 153 ½.

In the 4 round “civil war” fight featuring Sergio Lopez from Las Vegas, NV and Santos Vasquez (2-0) from Reno, NV, Lopez weighed in at 114.6 and Vasquez weighed in at 112. In the 4 round matchup between “two guys quicker than a fly” Mario Gaxiola (0-3) from Las Vegas, NV weighed in at 107 and Yosigey Ramirez (0-2-2) also from Las Vegas, NV weighed in at 106. The first fight of the night will feature JJ Wallace weighing in at 153 and Enrique Montez who weighed in at 152 fighting out of Pochiro Boxing Club.
