Thrifty Valentine's Day Activities for Couples

Stumped for great Valentine's Day couple activities? On a budget? Look no further. Below are a few thrifty and fun ideas for you and your significant other.

1. Prepare a favorite meal together, or for your significant other. Perhaps incorporating foods that remind you of a special time shared together or are reminiscent of love. Add special decorative touches if you are so inclined.

2. Watch a movie together. Be sure to choose something that appeals to both of your tastes.

3. Carve out time together, just the two of you, to spend discussing "fun" topics. The responsibilities of sharing a life and raising a family together can be all-encompassing, it is important to reconnect.

4. Write a letter to your significant other. Once a traditionally component of any courtship, the love letter has fallen out of use due to the convenience of e-mail, text messages, and the like.

5. Go for a walk together. If possible, be creative in your choice of where you walk:  a place of special significance in your relationship, an interesting venue, or a romantic walk in a quiet area are all great ideas.
