Three women were executed at a Kurdish center in Paris, French Interior Minister Manuel Valls confirmed on Thursday. One of the women executed was a founding member of a militant group that has been engaging in warfare with Turkish troops since 1984, reported Yahoo! on Jan.10.
Reportedly, the three women were executed by a gunshot wound to the head. However, this has not been confirmed by police.
After visiting the pro-Kurdish center where the bodies of the three women were found, French Interior Minister Manuel Valls said the deaths were "without doubt an execution." He also said it was a "totally intolerable act."
Police found the bodies of the three women shortly after midnight at the Kurdistan Information Center, according to a police official.
Huseyin Celik, deputy chairman of Turkey's ruling party, believes the executions were because of "an internal feud" within the Kurdistan Workers Party, however, he couldn't prove this.
