8 poets each hour. Each poet gets 3 poems or 5 minutes

There will be a different MC and Timer each hou

I’ve asked for for 2-3 long tables so everyone can sell their books, CDs and Chap books. You will be responsible for your own bank

Please be there at least 15 minutes before the hour you are supposed to be part of

Im not sure how good reception is so if you will be late or can’t make it send me a message on FB and call/text 312-246-4747
The schedule below is based last year’s list, travel distance and request I'm asking everyone to be flexible
Some people are not on FB so I will be contacting them directly

If you want to flip your time slot let me know ASAP. I’m going to put up a FB event within the next 2 weeks and everyone’s name and time slot will be listed
The order for the night will be determined that night
Note, there is a waiting list so if you have to bow out let me know ASAP

***Mingus Awareness Project Concert (Run by Poet Dan Godston)
a benefit concert for the Les Turner ALS FOUNDATION

ADMISSION: $20 / $15 for students

On December 16, a group of musicians will gather at Martyrs’ to celebrate the life and music of Charles Mingus, and to benefit the Les Turner ALS Foundation. Mingus, an American musical hero who died of ALS, is one of the greatest figures in jazz history. His bass playing, compositions and philosophy have transcended his genre and left indelible marks on music history.
