It seemed a quiet season was on the way, however, now there are three Tropical Storms in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Bill, Ana, and Claudette. Tropical Storm Claudette is the newest depression to form, and is expected to make landfall later today in the Florida panhandle. Tropical Storm Claudette is expected to bring heavy rains and possible flooding.
Tropical Storm Ana is moving west rapidly and has been decreasing, though it is possible that this small circulation depression might pick up. Right now it is believed that it will bring rain, and gusty winds. The storm is on a projected path towards the west, moving past Hispaniola, where it might pick up more strength.
Tropical Bill is moving with 60 mph winds, and is expected to become a Hurricane in several days, possible a major Hurricane with winds of at least 120 mph. For more information on these tropical storms, please visit my colleague’s site here: Tony Pann Baltimore Weather Examiner
