It is a known fact that it's important to know a little something about the company that you're interviewing for when job searching. But did you know that it is just as important to let them know that you have done a little bit of home work on knowing the company. It would not hurt to do a little upfront online research before heading to the job interview .
And what about making a good impression? It has been said that your first impression is a lasting impression, that's true. Dressing appropriately is one of the keys to being remembered by the interviewer in any job search. We call it "dressing for success". Make sure to try and look the part that you are applying for but at the same time, don't overdress. In addition to that, also make sure that you do not overload yourself with lotions, perfumes and colognes.
Thirdly, put on an air of confidence without being overly confident, remember, you don't have the job yet. Even if it has been a few weeks since your interview, the prospective employer will not soon forget the confident person with the well put together resume and the firm handshake, that they had interviewed previously.
Also, it is a good idea to know exactly what's on your resume when job hunting. It's not a look of confidence when you stumble over your words when asked about something on your resume.
