Lafayette Brewing Company is coming off of a run during which it had eleven beers on tap. Now down to nine different brews on tap, the brewery still features three beers unique and surprising in their taste.
Nicaraguan Knife Fight Black Angus Oatmeal Stout is the latest variation of Lafayette Brewing Company's practice of filtering its beer through coffee beans. The combination of the natural sweetness of the oatmeal stout with an enticing touch of coffee makes a tasty treat.
Perhaps the most surprising of the three new beers is the Back in Black Rye-P-A. Visually disguised as a dark stout, this brew is very much from the opposite side of the spectrum. IPA fans will most likely enjoy this beer, whilst fooling their compatriots into thinking that they all-of-a-sudden enjoy stouts.
Marley's V.S.O.P(Very Special Old Porter) is a very timely release, as it was aged in whiskey barrels during the brewing process. This smooth porter is enhanced with a rich whiskey taste, which can bring a beer lover's taste buds across the pond to the Emerald Isle, just in time for St. Patrick's Day.
There seems to be little doubt both Lafayette's breweries will have wonderfully cultural releases for St. Patrick's Day, and this latest group of taps has provided beer lovers with ample preparation.
