Three young sisters were killed after being brutally gang raped in the western Indian state of Maharastra, according to a Feb. 21 Newsoxy report. Unbelievably, these three young girls were ages 5, 9, and 11.
The three sisters' mother said that police have done nothing about these brutal murders for two days, and she began a protest blocking the highway to the village of Murmadi where the three sisters were killed.
The trio were missing, and they were found just a day-and-a-half later in a well. The girls were left just one third of a mile from their home. It is sad to know that these three sisters were so close to safety when the unthinkable happened to them.
Police officer Arti Singh said,
"The three (girls) were raped before being murdered."
The siblings were poor after losing their father four years ago. According to their grandfather,
"The girls were lured with food by unknown abductors."
What an awful situation. Then, to hear that police have not done anything to try to solve this horrific crime and bring the rapists and murderers to justice just piles on the horror. In fact, the initial police report said that the three sisters were raped and killed in "an accident" or even suicide. What? How could something like this be an accident?
Rajendra Singh, Inspector General of Police, Nagpur Range said,
"We have registered a case of rape and murder with sodomy. We have checked out 100-150 people and interrogated 10 to 15 of them."
If it hadn't been for the mother's protest, it is possible that police would have continued to do nothing to find these rapists and murders. Now that the case has international attention, police have initiated a manhunt, and India's central government is involved. Hopefully this mother will get justice for her three girls.
