It’s only natural that people are still calling “Buckwild” West Virginia’s “Jersey Shore.” And as these double episodes hit us over the head, certain similarities are beginning to arise. For instance, the crew has already hit up a club called Karma. And although the characters’ stories don’t draw exact parallels, it’s become obvious that Joey is the crew’s “Vinny.” See if you agree…
Vinny was “the quiet one.”
Noted mainly for his sensible nature, Vinny’s spunk was often overruled by his peaceful demeanor. But once he let loose with the pranks the world began to see how funny he really was. Considering Shain’s sitcom-worthy banter and Tyler’s “pretty” good looks, Joey the Shaggy Goofball wasn’t designed to demand our attention at the onset. Nonetheless, his charm is undeniable. As the season progresses, the more vocal he becomes. Suddenly, that “Justin Beaver” haircut isn’t so bad to look at, either.
Vinny’s “Package”
Vinny Guadagnino caught plenty of flak at Seaside for his considerable “man-package.” This amusing tidbit of information further cements the notion that we should never underestimate the quiet ones. Like his “Jersey Shore” counterpart, Joey apparently has impressive baby-making equipment. Attention to this detail can’t be a coincidence.
Guadagnino has hidden skills.
Vin’s plan to return to law school surprised many. But he’s evidently a man of many talents. Joey may not exactly be Harvard bound. But Ashley seemed royally impressed at his ability to manipulate heavy machinery. And now that he’s scored with Shae, he’s shaping up into the quite the victorious underdog, much like Vinny.
