Three men kidnap Buckhead woman outside her home, rob her

A Buckhead woman was kidnapped outside her home and forced to withdraw money from an ATM early Friday morning.

For about 30 to 45 minutes the men held the woman imprisoned before releasing her unharmed outside her Lenox Oaks Circle condominium, according to Atlanta police.

Investigators are still searching for the suspects.

The woman, whose name has not been released, had just returned home shortly before 3 a.m. and had exited her vehicle at 868 Lenox Oaks Circle when, police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.

“At that point, three males approached her and forced her back into her car,” Officer Jones said. “The suspects drove to at least one ATM machine and withdrew money.”

The woman told police that the men made other stops but she could not readily identify the locations since her head was covered.

Still, she believes that one of the stops was at an ATM in the 2600 block of Peachtree Road.

Once the suspects had received several hundred dollars, they went back to the location where they accosted her and fled on foot, leaving the victim with her vehicle.
