A manager was shot after three masked gunmen forced their way into the S & S Cafeteria in Macon Friday night.
Police on Saturday were still searching for the suspects in what appeared to be an armed robbery.
The shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. at the restaurant at 2626 Riverside Drive, according to Macon police.
“Upon arrival the officers discovered that after the restaurant closed, three masked suspects wearing all black entered the restaurant, shot the manager and fled the scene,” police spokeswoman Ms. Jami Gaudet said.
Investigators believe they left in a black four-door vehicle. Police did not know the make or model.
The manager, whose identity has not been released, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, Ms. Gaudet said. His condition was unknown Saturday and police have released any details on his injury or how many times he was shot.
Anyone with information on these suspects or this incident is asked to call police at (478) 751-7500 or Crimestoppers at (877) 682-7463.
