A week after three masked men broke into a Norcoss home and held an infant at gunpoint, police have still not arrested any suspects.
But police have video surveillance images of three men running from the home, but have declined to release those images.
“We have not identified the people in the images as suspects and would prefer not to release any images until that's accomplished,” Norcross police spokesman Capt. Brian Harr said.
The following details were obtained from the police report:
Around 10 p.m. on Dec. 29, officers responded to a home on Western Hills Drive in reference to an armed robbery home invasion.
They found three women hysterical in the living room of the residence, one of them clutching an infant in her arms.
They also found one side of the front door trim lying on the floor after someone had apparently forced open the door.
The woman holding her infant child told police that she was in the back bed room of the residence when she heard someone knocking at the front door.
After a few knocks at the front door, she heard the front door forcefully open. A short time later, three gunmen wearing black masks, black shirts and black pants came into her home.
One of them came into her bedroom, grabbed her infant by the arm and pointed a gun at the child’s head.
“The male then demanded money from her; she told the male she did not have any
Money,” police said. “The other males stood in the living room and just looked around.”
Then the male went to the other rooms, demanding money. One of the women sat on the floor and attempted to block the door with her body. But the man was able to push the door open as she started to call 911.
“Once the male entered her room he grabbed the phone and put it in her pocket," police said. He then left.
The third woman, who dropped off at home after leaving work, was in her bedroom when one of the gunmen forced entry into her room.
He stole $400 and a gold ring with white stone from her purse. He then ransacked the rest of her room, going through drawers.
The men then fled the home, but a neighbor, who had video surveillance set up on his mailbox, captured the three male suspects running from the scene. The neighbor burned a copy of the video for police.
A week later, police are still trying to identify the men.
