Three loving Valentine’s Day books for children at Agape Books

Valentine’s Day is a great time to remind little ones in your life how much you love them. It’s also the perfect time to share a Valentine’s Day book with them. Picture books, coloring books, and books for young readers are all good choices.

Three excellent books for children I found at Agape Books in Jackson, Michigan are “Biscuit's Valentine's Day”, “Let's Show God's Love on Valentine's Day”, and “Clifford's First Valentine's Day”. Many children will be familiar with Biscuit and Clifford and will delight at receiving any of these books as a Valentine’s Day gift.

Biscuit's Valentine's Day” by Alyssa Satin Capucilli and illustrator Pat Schories finds Biscuit and his friend a little girl with lots of special deliveries to make. But Biscuit gets side-tracked and the little girl needs to figure out a way to show the little puppy how much she loves him.
What a sweet Biscuit!

Let's Show God's Love on Valentine's Day” illustrated by Rusty Fletcher is a coloring book filled with simple pictures for the youngest of children to color. There is also a wonderful message included in the book: that even though Valentine’s Day is a special day that celebrates love, God's love is something we can celebrate all year long.

Clifford's First Valentine's Day” by Norman Bridwell finds the big red dog we all know Clifford as a little red puppy getting into trouble.  Emily Elizabeth was making Valentines for her parents and grandparents and the mischievous puppy wants to help. When Clifford gets covered with paste and falls into a chute at the post office he gets lost in the piles of mail. A very helpful feature of this book for children in through the whole book Emily Elizabeth is thoughtful and responsible teaching children an important lesion about having pets of their own.

Way better than Valentine Chocolates if you have young children you would like to give a Valentine gift to I would recommend any or all three of these books. My grandchildren loved them when I presented them with these gifts last year.
