Three popular online games to play for free that have quite a following are Mafia Wars, Farm Town and Scrabble.

Mafia Wars through Facebook

Zynga is the developer of Mafia Wars, and it is estimated that 129 million users play the game monthly!

Players pick a mobster alias, recruit family members and start building their mafia wars empire through strong-arm activity.  Buying properties, taking over businesses and buying weapons is all it takes to become a billionaire!  The more friends a player recruits into their Mafa Wars family, the more powerful they become!  Eventually, their offers can’t be refused!

Farm Town through Facebook

Everyone has an inner farmer waiting to get out. In Farm Town, players start with a plot of land, a little money and then get busy tilling the land!  In a few days they are harvesting crops, corralling animals and raking in the dough. As their farm and bank account gets greener, they expand acreage and buy a farmhouse and a barn for horses, cows and chickens! Eventually, they are in the midst of their friend’s farms too, watering and plowing for extra cash!  Who would have guessed that overalls would come back in style?

Scrabble Through Facebook

For Facebook socialites who love word games but have limited time, Facebook’s online version of Scrabble is perfect! The game can be set up as a private game for two or in party mode for multiple players! Each player makes their play when time permits.  If everyone is online together it could be played in half an hour, if not, the game can stretch out over a week!
