Simmons ranks second in the Atlantic League in runs scored with 52, third in extra-base hits (30), fourth in hits (79) and total bases (131), and fifth in doubles (17) and triples (4). He also leads the team in each of those categories while maintaining a .293 batting average. In addition, Simmons, now in his third stint with the Bluefish, has stolen eight bases and owns a .349 on-base percentage.

Towles, in his first season with the 'Fish, is leading the team with a .322 batting average to go along with seven home runs, 26 RBIs, nine doubles and 21 runs scored. His OBPS (on-base plus slugging pct.) is 1.026. (Any OBPS over 1.000 is considered outstanding.)

Gustafson has been a major factor for the Bluefish out of the bullpen, having compiled a 2.10 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 34.1 innings (27 appearances).“We are very pleased to have these three players represent the Bluefish during the 2014 Atlantic League All-Star Game,” notes Bluefish general manager Ken Shepard. “They have been key members of our team during the first half of the season, and are deserving of this accomplishment.”

The Atlantic League All-Star Game will take place next Tuesday, July 16 at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Tex., home of the Sugar Land Skeeters.

The Bluefish, losers of their last five games and currently in last place in the Atlantic League Division, return home from a seven-game road trip to open a three-game set with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Tuesdays are "Two-for-One" nights at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard with two box seats for the price of one. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. For tickets, click HERE.
