Houston Dynamo have had three players called in to the US National team camp in the line-up announced by Jurgen Klinsmann on Sunday.
Will Bruin, Brad Davis and Tally Hall were all called up to the squad which went in to camp on Monday at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA ahead of the team’s friendly against Canada in Houston on January 29th.
For Will Bruin it is his first national team call up and is a solid reward for his stellar year where he scored 16 goals in all competitions, a club record, with four in the playoffs, another club record.
Will Bruin has previously appeared in an U23 national team squad back in his 2011 rookie season, Bruin offers a striking option for the future and has been given this chance to impress his national manager.
“It is definitely an honor to get a chance to represent your country, and I am really excited for it,” said Bruin. “I think this is a great opportunity, and one I’ve been waiting for.”
Davis comes in hoping to win his sixth cap with the national team cap which would be his first since a match against El Salvador in February 2010.
Davis comes in having managed eight goals in the 2012 season that saw him earn his fifth all-star selection and his fourth year of winning the team MVP award.
“I am very grateful to have this opportunity, and it’s time to go make the most of it,” Davis said. “The off-season was awfully short, for a good reason, and I’m just excited to get into camp and make a difference.”
The final Dynamo inclusion is also a debutant in goalkeeper Tally Hall who comes off a franchise record season of 12 clean sheets from his 33 appearances.
“I am very excited to receive a call-up to the national team camp,” Hall said. “There are already a lot of great goalkeepers in the camp, so to be given this chance, I am very grateful.”
