Three Colorado business schools among top 100

The prestigious Aspen Institute released its list of the top business schools in the world. Making the top 100 list were four schools from Colorado including the University of Denver's Daniels college of business at number 15, the University of Colorado at Boulder's Leeds school of business at number 21, Colorado State University at number 27 and the University of Colorado at Denver at number 53.

The Aspen Institue conducts the survey titled "Beyond Grey Pinstripes" every other year. It compares data from 150 participating schools in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The list offers an alternative way of ranking business schools based on unique criteria. In determining its rankings, the Institute examines and evaluates coursework, research published by schools' faculty and activities that prepare MBAs for social, ethical and environmental stewardship.

The Institute believes that today's MBA students are not solely interested in earning money. As noted in its press release:

"These days, many young business school candidates want to make a good living and stay true to their ethics, environmental concerns, and social causes."
