Three children were struck by a vehicle while they were crossing a street Thursday night in Norcross.
The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. near Graves Road and West National Circle, according to the Gwinnett County police.
Investigators said the three children, 2, 5 and 12, were attempting to cross the street when they were struck by a vehicle heading eastbound on Graves Road.
“It appears that all three children were attempting to cross the street after returning from a local grocery store,” police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.
All three children were transported by Gwinnett County EMS to the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta.
So far, the 2-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl have been treated and released, police said. The 5-year-old boy remained in the hospital Friday, but is condition was unknown.
Police have not charged the driver who remained at the scene.
