Family fun time just got more delicious with the announcement of three celebrity-themed restaurants soon to be open in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Tentatively scheduled to open by the end of summer 2014, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, Hard Rock Café and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurants are sure to bring new and exciting menu options for Smoky Mountain vacationers to enjoy.
Highly anticipated since it was announced last summer, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville is known worldwide for providing guests with a relaxing island feel, live music and lots of family fun. Margaritaville restaurants, resorts and casinos can be found from Canada to the Caribbean and Key West to Nevada, Atlantic City and Niagara Falls.
Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen is Deen’s first new restaurant opening with her new partners at Paula Deen Ventures. Paula’s Savannah, Georgia restaurant, The Lady & Sons, is one of the country’s most popular regional restaurants.
“This restaurant and retail expansion is a ‘sweet spot’ for Paula Deen Ventures,” says Paula Deen Ventures CEO Steven Nanula. “When we met the team at ‘The Island in Pigeon Forge,’ we found an entrepreneurial spirit that was very similar to the passion and drive that fueled the growth of Paula Deen’s restaurant The Lady & Sons, which celebrates the beginning of its business with this year’s 25th anniversary.”
Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville will join the Mellow Mushroom and the Timberwood Grill at The Island in Pigeon Forge. One of the newest attractions to the area, The Island offers guests several dining, shopping and entertainment options. When complete in spring of 2014, The Island will have a hotel, a $2 million dollar Las Vegas-style synchronized water fountain, a 200-foot climate-controlled ferris wheel (called the Smoky Mountain Wheel and reminiscent of the London Eye) and at least 50 more retailers and restaurants.
Hard Rock Cafés, well-known for a massive music memorabilia collection, signed instruments and casual atmosphere, can be found in tourist destinations around the world. Anybody can feel like a rock star at the Hard Rock. Hard Rock Café will be located at 2050 Parkway in Pigeon Forge, between the Smoky Mountain Opry Theater and the Wonderworks attraction.
From the press release …
“It is exciting to watch how quickly Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains continue to expand, with more fun things for families to enjoy every year,” said a spokesperson for Cabin Fever Vacations. “With the addition of these three Pigeon Forge restaurants, we believe that visitors to the area will be even more pleased with all the great dining options available during their vacations.”
