Three Branson announcements this week

The Today Show will be in Branson next Tuesday to tape a story on Roy Rogers who would have been 100 this year. Roy’s son and grandson perform a tribute show at the Mickey Gilley Theatre and the Today Show will tape the 10am performance on December 13th. The public is invited and admission is free with a donation of pet food for the Taney County Animal Control and Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society.

Yakov Smirnoff announced that 2012 will be his final season in Branson. Yakov has been in Branson for twenty years and is ready to get back into standup comedy. He will begin touring in 2013. He will be performing at his theatre on Hwy 248 throughout 2012. Plan now to see his show.

The Factory Merchants Mall (Red Roof Mall) announced its closing. The property will be taken over by the city of Branson. Plans for the future are under consideration.
