Three bodies found Connecticut, that’s the tragic story coming out of Connecticut this week after law enforcement officials found three missing mothers dead in a Manchester suburb, all brutally shot by suspected killer John Louis Lynn. Early reports think at this time that the killer was aiming to kill his child’s mother and her two female cousins before shooting himself. His son, a 13-month-old boy, is fortunately still alive, the Global Post shares this Monday, Dec. 9, 2013.
The three bodies found Connecticut tragedy began after mother Brittany Mills, age 28, was allegedly trying to break up with her boyfriend John Louis Lynn, 41. The couple had a just over year-old boy together. This weekend, police state that Lynn went to Mills’ house and shot her, killing both the mother of her baby boy and her two cousins as well, a 23-year-old and a 46-year-old. Once gunshots were heard, neighbors called 911. Lynn brought the child outside the house, laid him down on the porch, and then shot himself.
According to police, the law enforcement officials’ prompt arrival to the Connecticut home helped keep the man from potentially escaping and taking the child with him, likely saving the 13-month-old’s life. Yet this three bodies found Connecticut incident has left a great void in not only the three dead mothers — the boy’s own mother and that of his two aunts, both mothers themselves — but shocked neighbors as well.
"I heard women yelling – I didn't hear a guy yelling – then I heard a pop, pop, pop. While my girlfriend was on the phone with the police, we still heard a woman screaming and more shots, then nothing," said one witness, who added he was “horrified” at the brutal murders.
It appears that police said that the couple was involved in an ongoing child support dispute, with Mills filing several serious charges against the accused suicide killer, John Lynn. Relatives said that although there had been ongoing issues, they never could have known the situation would turn so violent and eventually deadly.
"It's sad. It's horrible this has happened," Sandra Murray, a neighbor, added. "Everyone is so sad around here, just trying to figure out what happened. You're just praying for the families."
The official police investigation into the tragic killings that left three bodies in its wake is still underway. The 13-month-old found on the porch unharmed is currently staying with relatives.
