Three bodies found Connecticut: 4 dead in apparent murder-suicide in Connecticut

Three bodies were found in a Connecticut home after a man shot and killed himself in front of police. On Dec. 8, Gothamist.com reported that a man was confronted by police after reports of gunfire were called into the station. What happened next was pretty crazy -- but perhaps not as crazy as what police discovered afterwards.

"Police arrived within minutes and confronted a man in the parking lot of the apartment building who was carrying a 13-month-old child, Capt. Christopher Davis said in a statement. After a short confrontation with police, the man put the child on the ground and shot himself with a handgun. One officer fired a shot at the suspect but missed, Davis said. The toddler was unharmed" (via Gothamist).

Three bodies were then found at Connecticut's Dye Houses apartments in Manchester. Police entered the apartment building only to find the three dead female bodies, all of whom they believe were killed by the man who committed suicide moments earlier. All three women suffered gunshot wounds. It is unknown if or how they were related to the suspect.

A motive has not been released to the public and neither has the name of the now dead suspect. It is also unclear who the toddler's parents are -- or if they are dead. It is believed that the child is in protective custody.

The three bodies found in Connecticut are undergoing autopsies. Police should have more information after the medical examiner completes his work.
