Three bodies found in Connecticut were women killed by a man targeting one of them. Her two cousins were shot in the rampage as well. The killer shot himself as police arrived. A 13-month-old boy was uninjured in the tragedy, Christian Post reports Dec 9.
Brittany Mills, 28, was trying to distance herself from John Louis Lynn, 41. They had the 13-month-old boy together. The incident happened Saturday in the suburb of Manchester when Lynn barged into Mills' home and killed her and her cousins -- Kamesha Mills, 23 and Artara Benson, 46. When the police arrived, Lynn brought his young son outside, put him down, and turned the gun on himself.
After the three bodies were found in Connecticut, Captain Christopher Davis said the child's life may have been saved due to the police responding so quickly. The killer wouldn't have been able to escape with the boy.
According to police, Mills and Lynn were in the middle of a child support dispute. Mills had filed contempt charges and a wage garnishment against Lynn. Mills had been trying to end her relationship with Lynn for two weeks. Mills' relatives said Lynn was "over there all the time." It shocked her family that things turned so violent.
The 13-month-old is the care of the state for the time being.
The three bodies found -- along with the killer's in Connecticut -- shook the small suburb town. Relationships can turn so ugly that the breakup turns deadly. This is another sad incident of hard feelings by begrudging exes.
