Kings of thrash metal, Anthrax, will bring their show to Columbus on Friday February 3rd at the LC Pavilion in the Arena District. California thrashers Testament and Death Angel will also be on the bill as opening support.
Anthrax' most recent album Worship Music was released in September and has been acclaimed as one of the band's best outputs. It marks the first record with singer Joey Belladonna since his return in 2010. Their most recent album with him on vocals was 1990's Persistence of Time.
Heralded as one of the Big 4 of Thrash, Anthrax career dates back to 1981. Guitarists Scott Ian and Danny Lilker got the name for the band from their biology textbooks. After a few years on the club circuit, they gathered a following of fans and eventually success with the release of 1985’s Spreading the Disease; Belladonna's first with the band. They followed that with another successful album in 1986 titled Among the Living. With classics like Madhouse, Caught in a Mosh, Belly of the Beast, Bring the Noise and many other songs in a thirty year career to go along with the new material, this show is a must for metal fans in the Columbus area with a spare thirty bucks.
The doors will open at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are still available at all Ticketmaster locations and at the LC box office.
Tickets are general admission $27.50 in advance or $29.00 on the day of the show.
