It's nice to see that Americans are fighting for their constitutional rights. This past weekend all across America the campaign "Guns Across America" did not sit idly by and exercised their 1st Amendment Right in support of their 2nd Amendment Rights.
Gun owners and law abiding Americans don't like having their rights ripped right out from under them by a biased media and an administration that like former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel liked to say; "You Never want a Serious Crisis go to Waste". Translation: when there is a serious crisis like Sandy Hook, you can use this technique to jam your agenda down the throats of Americans and circumvent the legislative process.
There has been a lot of action over the weekend as gun activists step up their efforts to head off the administrations efforts to exploit the Sandy Hook Elementary incident to push their trampling of the constitution and the 2nd Amendment. It didn't take long for the Governor Cuomo of New York to trample the constitution and the 2nd Amendment by passing the strictest gun control laws in the country. Governor Cuomo is on the record as staing that gun confiscation could be an option. HEAR a sitting Governor and elected official who took an oath to support & defend the constitution state clearly that CONFISCATION could be an option!
To see one example of a march that took place in Annapolis, Maryland see HERE.
Right here in New Mexico there was a great turnout in Santa Fe, NM at the state capitol to support Gun Rights and the 2nd Amendment.
At Calibers off Interstate 40, the assault rifle section was emptied out, with only three options available to choose from.
Employees explained they cannot keep assault riles in stock fast enough. People are coming from across the state to purchase them.
"What they need to crack down on are criminals," gun owner Athena Pacheco said. "The criminals aren't going to turn over their guns if they put this ban on assault rifles. They don't care - there's bans on all these illegal drugs and everything, and it still happens." Article HERE.
Many Americans across the state of New Mexico and all across the country are buying ammunition and guns at record levels NEVER seen before in the country's history. Hopefully, elected officials in Congress will realize that many American's take their 2nd Amendment Rights very seriously and refuse to have this constitutional right infringed upon anymore than it already has been.
Among those to show up for the Santa Fe rally were Rae Ridlon and his son, Dan, from Los Alamos. They each came carrying semi-automatic rifles and watched as protesters waved signs.
"We just want the country to realize we're not a bunch of criminals," organizer Josh Kennedy told KOB-TV (http://bit.ly/Yf9ARf). "We want them to realize that anyone that is responsible can own an assault weapon."
Kennedy said the group is against any proposed assault-rifle ban.

The Santa Fe rally — and others like it — took place four days after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, signed the nation's toughest assault weapon and magazine restrictions. Other states also are considering proposed gun control measures.
WELCOME to All Supporters of the 2nd Amendment, Shooting and Firearms Enthusiasts!
