2013 A New Year and New Start
Another year is upon us, 2012 is gone and cannot be changed. All the troubles we had last year are in the past and today we start a new year. It is refreshing to know each year that comes bring a fresh outlook. Every year we begin with new vision, new hopes and desires. Today people have made New Year resolution of changes they would make in their lives. The sad thing is by night fall most have already reverted back to the same old ways.
We live in a day were people everywhere want and desire to change and try and try time after time and it goes to no avail. Our human nature just lures us back in to the habits that rule our lives. We all desire to changes but it is hard to make a turn around and to change. To make a change require effort and to many of us do not want to put forth the effort required to make the changes in our lives to make us a different person. So instead we make these New Year resolutions knowing when we make them they are futile.
The wonderful aspect of change is the change God allows us to make. God does allow u-turns. When we make mistakes he is always there to help us turn around and get back on track. I have found through the years the only real change that I have acquired in my life has been the changes God has made in my life. When God changes me he is always there to remind me and to help stay on track. God has promised he will never leave us or forsake us and this is a promise we can count on. God is a friend that never fails us. Friends come and go, yet God is always there,
God desire for our lives is that we have fellowship with him. He desires to be a help to us. God desires to be there when we need him, God is a comfort, friend, and a help in time of need. The great part is God allows us to change. God promotes change in our lives, and God works with us on a daily base to help us make the change in our life we need. God is a loving God that understands, we do make mistakes, and God forgives us and help us stand back up, he wipes us off and helps us continue down life road and helps us realize the path we need to take. God needs to be our New Year resolution. With a commitment to live closer to God, to follow God and to serve God, We make a resolution we can keep. With this resolution we have a promise from God he will be with us and never leave us. Take a moment and think about this and commit to putting God in your life and serving him.
Love in Christ
