For many years now, I have heard preachers place commendation on others, quick to point out everyone’s short comings. Preachers who are always telling people if you do not do things how I see it you are wrong. Quick to pass judgments on others, thinking they are the only one who is right, and they are never wrong.
The Lord I serve said I came no to condemn but to call all men unto salvation.
John 3:17 (KJV)
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 12:47 (KJV)
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Here is my though, if Jesus was not here to condemn people, who do we think we are to get up and tell people if you do what I think is wrong you are on your way to hell. This is a narrow view to have, this is saying I am your judge I decide who is going to heaven and who is not. We are told not to judge, because the judgments we pass will then be placed on us.
Romans 2:1 (KJV)
1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
We’re told in Romans that no man has the right to tell another Christian he is wrong or right. Preachers now I am talking directly to you, if you find yourself place commendation on another person, you are the one who needs to get in touch with God and beg for forgiveness and ask for the judgments to be removed from yourself.
Romans 8:33 (KJV)
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. [1]
Preachers you are so quick to point out right living, well I am sorry to say it time you start practicing what you have been preaching. It time you learn something from the Bible and how it truly applies to all men even yourself that we as men of God are held to a higher standard. I do not care if you been preaching for 100 years, you can preach until you are blue in the face, the one requirement placed on us all is to study, it time to stop looking down on education and to get into Gods word and become educated. Preach the word in it purity, take your thoughts and ways out of the picture, and preach what the Bible truly teaches.
