Those who have Christ, have all of God

Full moon.
Full moon.
James Jordan

Col. 2:9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

All that is God, all that makes up God, lived in the person of Jesus Christ. That is an amazing thought. It is what Paul called "a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to the Greeks."
It is a provocative statement. The creator of the universe became a person whose name was Jesus. More amazing, that person gave himself to be crucified as an offering for our sins. God in essence paid the price for all of us by giving himself up for us.
And as we accept this truth and become born again, we are made full or complete in Christ.
All the fullness of God was in Jesus Christ, and in the same way, as verse 10 says, we are brought to that same fullness in Christ.
This is not to say that we are tiny Gods now.
Rather, what it means is, every spiritual thing we could possibly need has been given to us in Christ.
He has made us complete.
There is no need then, to "try" to be spiritual, or to try to be more religious than someone else.
Spiritually speaking, we have been given the fullness of God in the person o Jesus Christ. Jesus is God in the flesh, and he is head over every power and authority, so ... our faith in him is what makes us complete.
What we need then, is to have faith in this truth.
