People have been asking me lately about the sequel to the hit film "Thor: The Dark World" starring Chris Hemsworth. The good news is, the film hits theaters on Nov 8. The other good news is that the film is sporting a stellar cast.
Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's "Thor" and "Marvel's The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
Ray Steven son
Stellan Skarsgard (Alexander's father)
Benico Del Toro
Stan Lee-will make another of his 'blink and you miss him' cameos.
"Thor: The Dark World" is one of the last of the big budget films of 2013. The other two that stands out are "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," which stars Chris' brother Liam. The last film is, of course, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. It looks like Hollywood depended on sequels a little too much this year and it bit them in the butt. Start following this column as I start to reveal all the best in film coming out in 2014.
Chris is currently filming "Cyber," which also stars Viola Davis and William Mapother who also stared in the excellent indie "Another Earth."
