Everybody's favorite little blue tank engine will be pulling into the Whitewater Valley Railroad station in Connersville, Indiana for two weekends this June!

As part of the Day Out With Thomas program, a 15-ton replica Thomas engine is making the rounds of heritage railways across the country.  The Celebration Tour 2010 is already underway, with Thomas scheduled to appear in Connersville from June 18-20 and 25-27.

The highlight of the event is an opportunity to take a 25-minute ride on a train pulled by Thomas.  Kids can also have their pictures taken with Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt, hear stories, watch videos, enjoy live music, get "tattoos" of favorite characters, and make various arts and crafts, including birthday cards for Thomas, who is celebrating his 65th year!

Tickets are availble through Ticketweb for $18 per person.  Children under 2 ride free, and large group rates are also available.  The train rides are scheduled at 45-minute intervals throughout the two weekends.  Organizers recommend arriving at least one hour before your scheduled ride.  For a limited time, TicketWeb is also offering a special Combo Pack, shipped in advance of the event, which includes a 2-inch metal Thomas medallion on a 22-inch quick-release lanyard, striped Thomas engineer's cap, and a Thomas-shaped whistle, all for $20.99.

Whitewater Valley Railroad is a 19-mile scenic railroad located in Connersville, Indiana, approximately 60 miles east-southeast of Indianapolis.  The Railroad is open year-round, operating various regularly-scheduled and special event trains.
