Thomas Ravenel’s relationship with Kathryn Dennis has caused quite a stir on the premier season of “Southern Charm.” Despite all the negativity, Ravenel and Dennis, who have not yet tied the knot, welcomed a baby girl, Kensington Calhoun Ravenel into their family.
Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis have made their home in West Palm Beach, Fla., but on Tuesday, April 15 the couple visited their friends J.D. and his wife Elizabeth in their hometown of Charleston, S.C. and Ravenel posted a photo on Twitter to commemorate the occasion. The photo shows a sleeping Kensington in a baby carrier. New mom Kathryn Dennis looks a bit sleep-deprived but otherwise beautiful. Thomas, J.D. and Elizabeth are all smiles for the camera.
The romance between Thomas Ravenel, 51, and Kathryn Dennis, 22, heated up last summer while filming “Southern Charm,” Bravo’s newest hit. The couple had a pregnancy scare during filming and there was some controversy involved regarding the possibility paternity of a child. Kathryn had not only had a sexual relationship with Thomas, she also had a fling with co-stars Shep Rose and Whitney Sudler-Smith.
Thomas Ravenel may find himself busy with more than just being a dad. The former South Carolina state treasurer announced earlier this month that he will run as an independent candidate for the Senate if incumbent Lindsay Graham runs again on the Republican ticket. Ravenel’s previous political aspirations were sidelined by felony charges of intent to distribute cocaine. Ravenel pleaded guilty to the charges and spent 10 months in federal prison.
Kathryn Dennis, who is a descendant of John Calhoun, the seventh vice president of the United States, is also related to former state lawmaker Rembert C. Dennis. The stunning redhead attended the University of South Carolina. Fans were left hanging about the state of Ravenel and Dennis’s relationship on last week’s episode. The season finale of “Southern Charm” airs on Monday, April 21 at 10 p.m. on Bravo.
