Thomas heavy on top recruiting lists

Matthew Thomas is highly ranked in three top recruiting website "Top 100" lists (CBS MaxPreps.com, ESPN 150, Rivals.com, scout.com/FOXSports). He is rated as high as sixth in the ESPN Recruiting nation Top 150 and as low as No. 41 in the CBS Maxpreps.com list. Thomas, as listed on ESPN's website, has a long list of schools he is considering making visits this year to Alabama, USC, Florida State and Georgia. Miami and UF are also on the list with ten other schools making offers to the talented athlete.

The 2013 recruiting candidates from South Florida is light with only Thomas, Joey Bosa (St. Thomas Aquinas) and Denver Kirkland (Booker T. Washington) eligible to be recruited. The South Florida class of 2014 is more abundant with athletes such as Joseph Yearby and Dalvin Cook from Miami Central and Homestead WR Ermon Lane (scout.com 300) eligible to sign letters of intent. National Signing Day is February 6th.
