Steve Sitton, the administrator for the Thomas Hart Benton Home Historic Site will present, “Benton: An Artist in Kansas City”. Sitton will be at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum at 500 w. U.S. 24 Highway in Independence, Missouri.
Enjoy music, dining, fine art, wine tastings and crafts at the Excelsior Springs Shopping District Second Friday. The event is located in downtown Excelsior Springs.
The Heartland Men’s Chorus and Dean’s Gallery present Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals 1933-1945 at the gallery located at the Miller Nichols Library at UMKC. The exhibit is in conjunction with the Heartland’s “Falling in Love Again”. The exhibit is on loan from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. and will be open to the public through April 10. “Falling in Love Again” will be performed on Mar. 23 and 24 at the Folly Theater.
The Charlotte Street Studio will be showcasing the resident artists of the studio. The exhibit will be at the Partnership Place 906 Grand and Town Pavilion at 1100 Walnut. The show closes on March 9.
The All Souls Gallery will be hosting, “Images: cut, copied, drawn and quartered” by James Hardy. The gallery located at the All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church at 4501 Walnut. The exhibit will run through March 15.
Belger Arts Center will feature a group show, “Adornment.” The gallery is located at 2100 Walnut and the show runs through June 8.
BNIM: “Art & Science on the River” by students of Shawnee Mission East High School. The school is located at 7500 Mission Road in Prairie Village. The show runs through Mar. 29.
“Spring Potpourri” is the featured presentation at the Buttonwood Art Space. This is a Greater Kansas City Artist Association Member Showcase. The gallery is located at 3013 Main and will be on display through March 29.
New works by David Ford and Jim Leedy along with “Shift” by Anne Lindberg and “Earthy” by Michael Krueger will be on display at the Dolphin Gallery. The gallery is located at 1600 Liberty and the exhibit will run through March 23.
“Greater Kansas City Artist Association Member Show” will be held at the Buttonwood Art Space at 3013 Main. The show will run through March 29.
“A Strenuous Nonbeing” by Anthony Baab will be featured at the Grand Arts at1819 Grand. The exhibit will run through Mar. 30.
The “Heartland Artist Exhibition” will be featured at the Tim Murphy Art Gallery located inside the Irene B. French Community Center at 5701 Merriam Drive in Merriam. The exhibit closes April 6.
