Thomas Gibson arrest: 'Criminal Minds' star ignored major road signs

Thomas Gibson was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of DUI when he attempted to drive through a blocked off an area of LA for a marathon.

TMZ reports Jan. 6 that the "Criminal Minds" and former "Dharma and Greg" star ignored major road signs that blocked off a section of town for a half-marathon. Where he was headed had already been passed by the race, but it was still blocked off. Gibson was warned by officials that the area was still off-limits, but he drove through anyway. When police eventually caught up with the actor and stopped him, he made a major mistake by refusing to take a breathalyzer test. At that point he was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI at 1:37 a.m. and taken into custody.

Gibson's bail was set at $15,000 and he was released from police custody, USA Today reports Jan. 7.

Officer Cleon Joseph confirmed to the Associated Press that Thomas Gibson violated signs barricading an area of LA for the half-marathon course taking place .
