He's known for an alternative take on men's fashion
Style said, "Browne's designs have never been clothes as we know them." He is a designer known for shortening men's jackets and "flooding" men's pants. Although he's been designing menswear for over a decade, his women's line did not begin until 2010.
The Allentown, Pa. born Browne has received many awards
Since 2005, he has received many awards including the 2006 Menswear Designer of the Year award by the CFDA, the 2008 Designer of the Year by GQ, and the 2012 National Design Award.
It was a surprise to Browne when Michelle chose his design
The designer was invited to send in his design, but discovered that his style was chosen only after Michelle debuted it on TV. "It is one of those rare moments in someone’s career that you will always remember," said Browne. "There's not a word that can really describe it. It’s just amazing."
Browne started out as an actor
The designer began as an actor in mostly TV commercials. Eventually, he sold his car to become a tailor in New York City.
