Several screenshots were also leaked, as well as details on the upcoming first-person shooter. Citing a "trusted source," Destructoid goes on to mention that Advanced Warfare will be centered around a military group -- run by a character voiced by Kevin Spacey -- who turned on the United States government.
Displayed in the leaked media, soldiers will sport exosuits for higher jumps and special gloves to scale buildings, they can cloak themselves and also ride hoverbikes.
At the end of the trailer lies a November 4, 2014 release date announcement.
Developer Sledgehammer Games recently took to Twitter to announce that "a new era" of Call of Duty will arrive on May 4. Shortly afterwords, Call of Duty's official Twitter account changed its profile pic to a blurred, smokey image of what appears to be the Golden Gate Bridge, with the text "world reveal" and the aforementioned date plastered onto it. Lastly, a countdown to the date was placed on the game's website.
It would appear however that their much teased announcement came just a few days early.
This year's Call of Duty is the first to be made on the franchises new three-year development cycle.
