Soul Food Junkies is coming to Vallejo

And if you are wondering if there are a variety of ways to make soul food more healthy without sacrificing its great taste, you definitely don't want to miss this event. The celebrated film maker Byron Hurt is bringing his much-talked-about "Soul Food Junkies" to Vallejo this coming Saturday, March 2nd.
We got the word about this interesting event from Corinne Quinn, a community health leader with The Network for a Healthy California--African-American Campaign. This grass roots community organizing campaign shares healthy eating and lifestyle options with African-Americans.
Guest speakers will be on hand to talk further about the messages communicated in this feature-length documentary. There will also be a drawing for free prizes and nutrition information to take home.
