This Weekend: Trainwreck Cabaret

Looking for something different this weekend? Try the Trainwreck Cabaret, which takes the stage at the Dark Room Theater in San Francisco’s Mission District on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 10 p.m. The Dark Room is located at 2263 Mission St.

Trainwreck, in its own words, captures the old-world charm of vaudeville with a dark, new-world twist. Now in its second year, Trainwreck has a growing troupe of performers including burlesque dancers, singers, puppeteers and comedians.

The cabaret readily admits that sometimes it is, indeed, a Trainwreck. But, they add, it’s always entertaining.

Here’s how it works: performers are asked to go out on a limb and take a chance to create something wonderful – the odder the better. Check it out!
