This Weekend: The Tortuga Music Festival is back!

Starting tomorrow thousands of country music fans will hit the sands of Fort Lauderdale Beach for the second Rock the Ocean Tortuga Music Festival. Last’s year debut event brought more than 20,000 people together to listen to dozens of mega stars like Kenny Chesney while learning about ocean conservation.

This year’s lineup is also packed with star power. Eric Church returns and is joined by Luke Bryan, Hank Williams, Jr., Train, Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, Sheryl Crow, Billy Currington, Slightly Stoopid, Ziggy Marley, 38 Special, Brett Eldredge and many more.

This gathering of music superstars isn't just about the music. The two day festival was created to bring awareness to ocean conservation and the organizations that are taking the lead on the issues currently affecting the ocean’s delicate ecosystem. The Rock the Ocean Foundation and The Guy Harvey Foundation, along with many other partners, all aim to educate and increase public awareness, support scientific research, and create programs designed to preserve and restore ocean life.

"We've actually exceeded some of our goals for this year prior to the event. The festival is already bigger in terms of attendance and media attention, especially with regard to our message of marine research and conservation. However, we take pride in our patron experience and festival attractions, and are hard at work to make certain our operations plan runs smoothly and ensures that everyone has a good time this weekend,” said A.J. Niland, co-founder and CEO of Huka Entertainment.
