These are the shows I'm reccormending for this weekend. Quite the lineup here, enjoy!
Friday February 3rd:
If you're in the mood to see some old school new orleans style rockin blues, go see The Soul Rebels at Brooklyn Bowl. See what the Village Voice meant when they called them “the missing link between Public Enemy and Louis Armstrong.” Show is at 8pm, tickets are $10 - $12.
Check out Ambassadors at Mercury Lounge at 10:30 for some "Soul Infected Indie Rock" Doors at 8pm - tickets are $10.
Lookin for a free show? Songstress Rosi Golan is playing Rockwood 1 at 11pm. She is super cute, has a lovely voice and sang with Snow Patrol on Live on Letterman last month - do you need any more reasons to go see her?!
Saturday February 4th:
We've got American Babies at Rockwood 2 at 11:30 pm with their unique blend of indie rock with a bit of alt country americana.
Sunday February 5th:
If you know what's good for you you'll take a night off from music and root for the Giants! Seeing if Madonna can swing a superbowl performance totally counts.
